Chris Baum, CFA

I am a native of Orange County and prior to Coastal Capital I worked for a large investment advisor. While there, I passed the Series 65 exam, achieved my Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, became a portfolio manager, and helped manage roughly $3 billion in client assets across approximately 3,000 clients.

Ultimately, I saw an opportunity to leave and start Coastal Capital Advisors. I’ve always had a background and fascination with tech, so now we have the opportunity to serve the tech community. My favorite part of the job is the client relationships and helping them invest well and make sounds financial decisions

I am a proud Wildcat as a graduate from the University of Arizona. I live in Irvine, California with my wife Emily, my three kids Ellie, Tommy, & Abby and dog Dixie.

Outside of work, you can find me hanging out with my family, going to the beach, and playing basketball.
