We created this process to give you (and us) a blueprint for making an educated and informed decision about working together. Equally important, at the end of this process you will know exactly where you are at in 4 key areas of financial success.
Learning our process will also give you a framework by which to evaluate other firms you may be considering.
For people who are potentially a good fit for our firm, there is no fee or commitment for this process. We want you to know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single dollar in fees or trust us with a penny of your nest egg.
Step 1 - Initial Conversation
Before dedicating your time or ours, this quick phone call will give us both a chance to make sure there is a potential fit. After all, you wouldn’t see an eye doctor if you needed foot surgery.
If we aren’t a good fit for each other, we may be able to introduce you to a firm who is better suited to your needs.
Step 2 - First Meeting
The objective of this meeting is to determine and define your goals, concerns, and circumstances.
Your answers to our questions and questionnaire will guide our analysis. In turn, this will result in clear answers to four critical questions.
Step 3 - Our Analysis
This is where we go to work. Our goal is to help you answer 4 questions:
Can you afford (or are you on track) to retire?
Can your portfolio be improved?
Can we minimize the amount you pay in taxes for the next 30+ years?
Can you erase, or at least lessen hazards to your retirement?
Step 4 - Second Meeting
During this meeting we will explain our analysis and what you need to do to achieve your financial goals, including the answers to the four questions above.
This is where you can see specifically how we can add value to your life and improve your finances.
At the end of this meeting we will ask if you want to partner with us or if you need time to think about it.
Step 5 - Think About It
You have worked hard for your money, and we are in no rush for you to make a decision. Prior to making your decision, you will want to answer the following questions:
Do I like/trust the team at Coastal Capital?
Will the value they provide exceed their fees?
Do their suggestions make sense to me?
Step 6 - Paperwork
After you’ve had time to think about it, we will follow up to answer any remaining questions. If you are ready to work with us, we will start the paperwork to become a client.
**If you decide that we are no longer a fit, we will wish you well. In other words, this isn’t a time share presentation. There won’t be a hard-sell or pressure to say yes.
